North Whiteville Academy

Recently, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the Department of Health and Human Services updated the guidelines for North Carolina Public Schools, as it relates to COVID-19. Effective, Monday, February 21, Whiteville City Schools will no longer conduct contact tracing in our schools for COVID-19. The only excluding factor for a student or staff member from school will be if the student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19. At that time, the individual will need to quarantine from school for five days. Individuals who are positive, will need to notify the school nurse, so that the absences can be accurately recorded.

At the February 14th WCS Board Meeting, the Board voted to make

face coverings optional for students, staff, and visitors beginning February 21, 2022.
